We once again are partnering to help our fellow Americans in need in the midst of another hurricane season during which several storms have claimed lives and interrupted others and left communities in shambles along the Gulf Coast. In working together for Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 South Asia Tsunami, we personally witnessed the tremendous generosity and goodwill of the American people and our friends around the world to help in times of great need. The purpose of the Bush Clinton Coastal Recovery Fund is to channel that goodwill to help rebuild essential cities, towns and neighborhoods stronger than they were before.
